The rebrand and relaunch is underway. Three, two, one…..we have lift off (almost!)

Well, we’re well underway with the restructure and rebrand of the website and company as a whole.

To reinvigorate Helpful Words we’re: updating the site, kicking off the blog (as you can see!), and linking our social media channels for a more joined-up approach to our communications.

On the site we’ve:

  • Rebranded with a clean, modern logo and colour palette which reflects our go-getting attitude!
  • Redesigned the look-and-feel of the whole site.
  • Improved the copy and messaging on all our pages.
  • Improved our introductions to the team and what we’re about on the About us page.
  • Improved the imagery used on the site.
  • Updated our offerings and the services we provide on the Services page.
  • Built a direct chat feature using Facebook chat – (click on the grey speech bubble below and say hello!).

We’ve gone for a very clean website with lots of white space and very little clutter. Our images are all sourced from Pexels and Pixabay (love those sites for stock imagery), and really reinforce the message that we are serious about our field, we approach our work with clean design reinforced with beautiful images that reinforce our messaging.

We think it looks great (or it will when we’ve finished), but I’d love to hear what you think. Why not add a comment and tell us what you think?

In pulling together our Facebook, X, and the website, we’ll be able to better shout our message to the world, and then connect and gather feedback from partners, clients, and our peers. Other social media channels are available and we will be bringing them into our arsenal as we move along.

Behind the scenes, we’re working with other consultants to put a set of offerings together so instead of being just a one-man-band (Rob and his banjo), we are aiming to grow our business and become a leader in the technical communications, business analysis, and general communications fields. That’s not to say that I am averse to focusing on delivering for a single client – we’re just looking toward a bigger, brighter future and putting the foundations in place to make it happen.

It’s all very exciting and there’s even more to come – in the shape of 3 Amigos Design (go visit the website here (Warning – it’s still under construction even though it’s up and available to view. Alfie and I ‘went for it’!), the website and social media strategy and management partnership that I’m setting up with my son Alfie.

We’re taking on the world together and are going to engage in some friendly competition with each other to drive both businesses forward.

Kiddies rocket waiting to launch into space - just like us. Aiming for the stars and going to enjoy the ride,

As we battle through our Trello board’s ‘To-Do’ list, we’re learning new skills, learning more and more about each other, meeting new people – both clients and partners – and getting through lots of water, coffee, and paracetamol!

What I know for sure: this is going to be a lot of work, lots of fun, and stacks of learning. I’m going enjoy as much time with Alfie as I can, and I’m learning as much from him as I’m teaching him – if not more.

Look out for upcoming topics that will be of a more Technical Authoring slant. I’ve drafting articles around rapid authoring, and looking at the good, bad, and ugly of using SharePoint and Google Workspaces.

Hopefully, we’ll see you very soon!

Rob
